my first time to MPO happened on MPO open day on 20 Aug 2006. i went there with my kl friends.the conductor on that day was kevin field . i even got his signature on my ticket ;-)
the show started at 6pm and lasted for an hour. our seats were located at the upper circle called Nafiri Suite. nice seats nice audio! my friend told me that the upper circles are good places for best audio! ;-) and it is true. but sadly we couldnt have a good view of the stage while you are seating!
anyway, i am going for another concert!details are as below:
Sun 3 Sept 06, 2.30pm & 4.30pm
MPO FAMILY FUN DAY
Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra

Alasdair Malloy presenter
A Pirate Party
Swash your buckles, buccan your ears, dress up in your sea-faring finery and hurry aboard for an action-packed adventure with nautical nonsense and maritime music. With Cap'n 'Jawbreaker' Jason Lai at the helm, Alasdair 'Awesome Al' Malloy as the cabin boy and the fearless crew of the MPO we'll be heading into uncharted waters in search of a treasure-trove of music from Fingal's Cave including a Pirate March, a Pirate Song, music from the film Pirates of the Caribbean, a cunningly-conceived quiz Nautical Notes and of course, the Sailor's Hornpipe. Shiver me timbers!
looking forward to it! happy today!
